JOB SUMMARY
The Radio Producer is responsible for every Magic Radio game broadcast, which includes technical execution, talent direction and pre-production of in-game features, commercial spots and corporate promotional initiatives. Additional responsibilities include producing every “Magic Drive Time” radio show M-F from 5:30-6pm during the NBA season, and serving as host when needed. The Radio Producer also supports the Radio Manager in the day-to-day operations of the Magic Radio department.

• Approximate number of events worked per season: 1-20
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• With Radio Manager, hire and supervise Radio intern.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Produce every Orlando Magic game broadcast and co-produce Magic Radio Shoulder Programming.
• Serve as Producer for all “Magic Drive Time” radio shows throughout the season, and fill in as Host when needed.
• Write and produce spots, promos, content, elements and features within both Game Broadcasts and all Magic Radio Shoulder Programming in both English and Spanish.
• Cover the team for each radio broadcast by interviewing players and coaches along with radio intern.
• Responsible for all audio entities within the company, including but not limited to website support and audio population and archival, in-arena messaging, on-hold messaging.
• Work with manager to create, develop and oversee Magic Radio Shoulder Programming in English and Spanish.
• Work to build Magic Radio brand through digital promotion and social networking initiatives.
• Work with Radio Manager and stations throughout Florida to broadcast Magic Radio game broadcasts, and continually foster Affiliate relations.
• Along with Radio Manager, oversee Radio Intern and ensure he/she attends practice, edits interviews, features, and any production requirements for our broadcast entities.
• Work with Radio Broadcast Talent on any and all needs/requests throughout the season.
• Edit/upload audio to NBA FTP to allow for retrieval by other broadcasting entities.
• Decision Making Abilities (Select One): Makes decisions while working within the limits of standard practice.
• All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
• College degree or equivalent professional experience required.
• Minimum of one year of Radio experience required.
• Experience with technical aspects of Radio production: studio equipment, remote broadcast equipment, Radio recorders, ISDN lines, IP addresses, etc, required.
• Experience in operating a Radio board for game broadcasts and live shows required
• Knowledge of Spanish language preferred
• Proficient in Adobe Audition, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, and other related computer skills required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on business writing skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and support multiple high level executive positions.
• Ability to work independently without supervision, be self-directed and demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to take direction without follow up.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others whom you have no direct authority over.
• Strong teamwork and team synergy skills required.
• Excellent ability to establish rapport with others and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
• Exhibit good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Availability and willingness to work extended hours, including nights and weekends and be on-call as necessary.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on the changing priorities of the department.
