Job Description:
**********PART TIME NON-BENEFITED************
Serve as the primary broadcaster for the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth athletics department, enhancing its strategic marketing plan through the promotion of its 25 sponsored sports.
Duties would include:
Provide play-by-play commentary for UMass Dartmouth home games
Create, edit, and upload game and season highlight packages
Conduct interviews with coaches and student-athletes
Assist the Sports Information Director with enhancing the production quality of Corsair broadcasts
Research, compile and write press releases
Train and supervise student workers
There will be evening and weekend hours involved with the assigned position.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Preferred Qualifications and Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
4-8 years of broadcasting experience in intercollegiate athletics.
Strong written and oral skills are required.
Knowledge of PrestoSports content management system, Stretch, Abode Creative Suite, and Final Cut Pro are given the highest priority.
