HOST - Green Bay Packers (Green Bay, WI)
Responsible for working as part of the Broadcast Division of Packers Media Group that creates all team-produced programming with distribution through multi-media outlets including web and mobile. The Host will help lead production efforts with regards to the on-air presentation, look and feel of each assigned program. The Host is also responsible for upholding the integrity of the brand of the Green Bay Packers.
Job Responsibilities:
• Serve as the lead host for all Packers produced programming.
• Responsible for keeping up to date on current events as it relates to covering the Green Bay Packers and the National Football League.
• Responsible for producing, writing, formulating questions for interviews and assisting in the shooting and editing of his/her own stories and segments.
• Work with the producer on content creation as it relates to the look and feel of the show.
• Work with the producer to ensure all reporting and discussion points uphold the integrity of the brand of the Green Bay Packers.
• Conduct interviews during open locker room player availability sessions and to attend all team related press conferences.
• Participate in community events and team activities, from time to time, as master of ceremonies and/or Host as requested by the team.
• Work with website and game-day production staffs, as needed, to help generate additional content for the web or to enhance the in-stadium game-day production.
• Provide leadership and contribute to overall team effort.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including on game-day, nights and weekends.
• Ability to adapt to and handle sudden shifts in production schedule to meet deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to travel.
• Other assignments as deemed by Director of Packers Media Group and Producer.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or media/video/film production with an emphasis in writing and reporting or a combination of education and work experience.
• 5 years of experience working as a multimedia journalist, reporter, anchor or Sports Director at a regional sports network or television news station.
• Exceptional communication skills, oral and written.
• Professional, consistent on-air appearance.
• Skilled in live ad-libbing ability and can maintain performance under extreme pressure.
• Highly developed public speaking and interpersonal skills.
• Displayed mastery of ability to read from a TelePrompTer.
• Can host shows involving multiple personalities.
• Has displayed the ability to create engaging conversation amongst a panel of guests.
• Can host magazine and lifestyle type programming.
