Communications/Media Relations Coordinator - Corpus Christi Hooks (Corpus Christi, TX)
The Communications/Media Relations Coordinator will serve a vital role on the Hooks Communications Team.
Communications
•Creation and production – including shooting – of content for team website, social, and new media, plus other internal communications resources
•Proofreading, publication editing, website content management, and graphic design
•Management of various Communications databases
•Feature writing, notes and records research
•Photographic file management
•Generation of daily program insert
Broadcasting
•Play-by-Play announcing of middle innings on Hooks home radio broadcasts; will join a permanent color analyst who works all nine innings.
•Public address of Whataburger Field amateur contests, including college and high school games
•Radio spot and voice-over recording
Media Relations
•Arrangement of media interviews with players and field staff members
•Pressbox preparation and administration (preparation of stat packs; conveyance of rosters/lineups)
Qualifications:
You should have strong Communications skills and superior customer service abilities, plus…
1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Broadcasting
2. Two years of related Communications experience
3. At least one full season in Minor League or Major League Baseball
4. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite products and Microsoft programs, plus a basic understanding of .html
5. Final Cut Pro video editing experience
6. Baseball play-by-play experience
7. Excellent Communications skills (written/verbal/interpersonal)
8. Highest level of professionalism with enthusiastic and positive attitude
9. Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
10. Willingness to work long hours, evenings, weeknights, and holidays

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
•High activity and heavily-crowded outdoor professional sports venue
•May work at heights
•May be exposed to inclement weather of various degrees
•May be required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and/or climb up/down stairs
•May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, sit, and/or lift up to 45 lbs.
