Play-By-Play Broadcaster & Account Executive - Adirondack Thunder (Glens Falls, NY)
The Adirondack Thunder are looking for a Play-By-Play Broadcaster and Account Executive to join their front office staff for the 2017-18 season. The individual in this position would be responsible for calling all 72 Adirondack Thunder games, home and away, during the regular season, making up 1/3 of their seasonal responsibilities. The individual would also be the Thunder’s lead new business Account Executive, selling season tickets, partial plans, groups and mini packs. The sales elements of this position would make up 2/3 of the individual's seasonal responsibilities.
BROADCASTING
We’re seeking the next voice of the Adirondack Thunder to represent the team on the radio and in the community. The broadcast elements of this position are as follows -
· Play-by-play broadcaster for all regular season, pre and post-season radio broadcasts
· Coordinate and maintain travel schedule for team while traveling with the team to all road games
· Serve as voice of the Thunder in all radio and television commercials
· Thunder contact for all visiting team needs including broadcast equipment, team accommodations and other items
· Assist Director, Communications & Community Relations with any media requests while the team is on the road
· Schedule players for community events throughout the season
· Other duties as needed
TICKET SALES
· Primary Thunder staff member responsible for bringing in new season tickets, partial plans and other ticket packages
· Make a minimum of 60 outbound sales calls per day
· Develop new sales leads and prospects daily
· Achieve and exceed pre-determined sales quotas for all ticket products
· Manage Full season, Partial season, Flex, Group and single game ticket requests
· Service incoming calls to the ticket department
· Assist with facilitating and maintaining payment plans
· Meet and exceed both weekly and monthly sales goals
REQUIREMENTS
· Experience in sales, marketing and broadcasting essential (3 to 5 years preferred) with measurable results and accomplishments attained
· Bachelor's Degree & a background in sports and entertainment preferred, but not required
· Competitive, results/relationship driven personality essential
· Strong written and oral communications skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office; ability to design and produce sales and marketing presentations consistent with ECHL, AHL and NHL standards
